Service and Workshop Tour
Our Porsche Service Centre workshop is full of all the latest equipment which is continuously updated to enable us to maintain the full range of Porsche models.
With the growing demand for servicing later Porsche models our workshop has been expaned and fitted with state of the art ramps and geometry machine. 50 Porsches a week cross our Workshop floors from early 1960’s Models to todays cars including: Cayenne, GT3, 997 and the odd Carrera GT. Our extensive range of genuine Porsche parts are stocked within our Porsche Parts stock room. We take pride in maintaining a clean and tidy working environment which is reflected by our effort to ensure all customers cars are washed and cleaned on completion.
All our equipment is tested twice a year, meeting Health & Safety Regulations and the RMI Quality Control Program.
JZM Porsche Engine Room
The engine room overlooks the main showroom floor. Engines and gearboxes are lifted by crane to the first floor where they can be reconditioned. A full selection of specialist tools are on hand along with a Viper Jet parts washer and a Bead Blasting Cabinet. We rebuild around two to three engines per-month and this work is carried out by Andy David who is our in house engine builder. Andy works closely with Steve Mchale and most of the engineering work is also done in house so we can be assured of a high quality job with all our rebuilds.
At JZM we use the Hunter Geometry machine, it does not require cameras or cables to be fitted to each wheel (heavy cameras increase the weight, which can distort the reading). The Series 611 uses a light reflector which bounces back a signal to the computer which is fixed to the wall with the camera, making sure that you get a perfect setting every time. This gives you better handling, better fuel consumption, and less tyre wear. A “before and after” print-out of your settings will be supplied for your information.
We carry a good selection of competitively priced tyres to suite all Porsche models.
We fit all tyres in Workshop 1 using a highly sophisticated tyre fitting and balancing machine.
These machines have been designed for easy fitting with out damaging the rim. So you can be reassured of a good quality job at all times.
The braking system on a Porsche is capable of stopping your car safely at any speed and is one of the most important service parts of the vehicle. The quality of the parts must never be compromised and making sure they are in good working order is very important. The brake discs can corrode over time and the discs do warp which will cause poor braking and judder through the pedal and steering wheel. To save you money when the discs still have enough life left in them we offer a brake disc skimming and alignment service.
