selecting exquisite Porsche for discerning owners
15th December 2013
This Porsche 997 recently arrived on the back of a breakdown truck, recovered when a warning light flashed up on the dash as the owner started it frst thing in the morning. The light alerted the owner to call JZM Porsche.
Warning lights on Porsche 911s should never be ignored, so we're delighted that the owner thought to call us and describe what had happened with their 911 to raise some concern. The problem was a transmission issue, which we we managed to repair the following day. No long term damage was done to the car.
Some problems are more to do with noises than warning lights. Problems with intermediate shaft bearings might not trigger a warning light, but could mean sure-fire engine failure for a 911 owner. We can replace intermediate shaft bearings, and do advise that all at-risk bearings are changed. Once failed, the only cure is engine out for lots of expensive work.
Even when there is no warning light, give the JZM workshop a call to discuss any of your Porsche worries. Our fully equipped Porsche workshop is available to cure what ever woes befall your pride and joy! We fix all Porsche service and repair issues on site and can usually give an idea of cost to repair before we start the work, subject to further scary discoveries when it comes apart.
